A poem in awe of the love of my life… my daughter…
Rants, raves
Days pass into
Night
An abyss of
Magic-less wonderment
Stars falling from sky
And she asks me why
Why why every other
Minute and I
Discover I’m no genius
All logic diminished
God finish my sentence
Because I prize silence
Like the wolf
Stalking prey in winter
-like the bear
-long to hibernate
From her intentions
Oh and yes she did
Mention that she
Is a princess
In a castle
Decorated in lollipop
Dimensions with
Butterflies
More colorful
Than the rainbow
Her diamond
Fascination and
I long for
Her to turn
10
But have five more years
Her perfect
Grin and perfect toes
With eyes so beautiful
Why why why
Because because
Because…
Like you
It was God’s intention…
