A lion get’s his lioness.

I lie under a lonely tree,

as the scorching sun beats down on me.

The shade is refreshing for awhile the sun lets me be,

a sound awakens me.

He is here again just a few feet from me so I can see his size,

he wants me to look at him with pride.

He struts up and down before my eye’s.

He stretches out his paws opens his mouth and roars,

a deafening sound but he thinks he has scored.

As I flick my tail and lift my head,

to acknowledge what he has said.

He shakes his mane and walks to me I offer a seat next to me,

he slowly starts to nuzzle me can you see he picked me.

In the end I except his merry dance,

I will take this chance,

and offer my love with just one glance.
