Down the Rabbit Hole…
Image via Wikipedia
I knew it was powerful on contact
There was no need for much probing
No need for deep investigation
All was revealed with the lips’ first touch
I knew then not to entertain it
I knew then not to invite it in
Yet the seduction of the danger drew me in
The smoky curls of its sweet aroma licking my nostrils
Detected strongly on the most shallow of breaths
Yet intriguing, petitioning, provoking for full lung occupancy
Inhaling deeply, making my lungs the only organ
Vital for existence 100% capacity body overtaken circuits blown!
I knew it was dangerous on contact
Yet I invite in ignorance, knowing
Euphoric and floating, elation
All that I am, I catapult much
I go to realms beyond where my boundaries sit
Defenseless in the wages of unknown sin
An insecure explorer’s journey to begin
Paranoid in the discovery’s thrills
Exhilarated to penetrate the depths
Invested in the indulgence and fancy
Instantly infatuated, total heart forgone
Release all resistance
New love loyalty judgments made known
