A poem about loving someone who has a problem telling the truth.
Listening to your lies
Can almost smell your sweat
Almost can feel your quickened pulse
As you clear your throat
And take a deep breath
Why are you doing this again?
The truth can’t be that bad
I want to stop you
But I decide to remain silent instead
I wish you could be as honest
As everyone believes you to be
I wonder what they’d think
If they knew of your duplicity
Sorting through your story
Sieving out the truth from the mess
Got to admire your creativity
At your worst you’re at your best
The thing is I adore you
And I deserve to know who you are
When will you stop hiding?
Just allow me to heal your scars
