A little lost drop of water comes and goes again, making one wonder just where it is hiding.

Churning waters of the great sea.
Tiny droplet, lost in the great swell
Breaking upon the shore.
Lost forever, never to be seen again
By human eye.
No one knows where you are,
Little lost droplet of H2o.
You join with others to grow and grow,
Only to crash upon the shore
And hide yourself again,
From searching eyes.
Oh, ocean, ocean,
Please return this tiny droplet of life
To my parching and thirsty soul.

Mmm. I enjoyed this much. It works on multiple levels, and is infinitely rereadable. The subject matter reminds me a litle of a piece of mine called Father of Waters, but mine is not, I think, as complex in how it can be read.
