Poetry for children about monkeys.

Watch the little monkey climb the tree.

Come down little monkey and play with me.

I see you swinging happily.

Little monkey, little monkey,

look down at the ground.

I hear you making jolly sounds.

It’s fun to watch you swing around,

but I surely wish you would come down.

I have a sweet banana just for you,

but I want you to play with me too.

Don’t run off or plan to hide.

I’m your friend, my name is Clyde.
