When we witness the enormity of suffering and pain that people experience and compare these with the petty worries that trouble our minds from time to time, we come to realize how fortunate we are, and be immensely thankful that our so-called misery are not as burdensome as supposed.
As we live our lives,
There are bound to be
Little worries we shouldn’t
Let loose on a spree.
It could be unbearable –
Far worse than we think
That somehow we’re teetering
On some perilous brink.
Indeed, without doubt,
There are ups and downs
That synchronize with
Our laughter and frowns.
Twinges of pain and
Discomfort are such
That require no prop,
Prosthesis or crutch.
Consider the heavy,
Life-threatening woes
Of those who know
No rest or repose.
So, let little worries
Out of the way,
And walk in the sun
Each precious day!
