A poem.
Live like there is no yesterday;
Forget the trials, tribulations past,
let the others stand aghast,
let them say you need to pray.
We focus on the past to learn;
for the sake of the future,
living that life is torture,
move on, weave, wind and turn.
No embarrassment;
it only hinders,
becomes like crumbling cinders,
for our life’s advancement.
Yesterdays are the past presents of our life. They are days we consciencely recollect and regret. Many people say “live like there is no tomorrow.” What they fail to realize is we all have lingering regrets from when we took that motto to heart. Instead, I say live like there is no yesterday. Sure, we all make mistakes, we all have embarrassing moments. However, if we focus on these moments instead of moving on, they hinder us from progressing and advancing in life. If we make the best decisions we can at the moment, then there is no need to remember yesterday or be embarrassed by anything. If we do embarrass ourselves, just remember that the person who witnessed our clumsy fall or milk shooting laughter has embarrassed themselves as well.
