A poem about how easily things can change.
In steady procrastination
I fumbled through life’s fixations
When a fleeting friend informed me
That people never change
I was as much bewildered
As my arms were de-hilted
When this proposition adorned me
In a manner so strange
I suppose that one may vary
With no leap so extraordinary
That such passion should thrill Thee
And curse a mind enraged
Was Judas a sinner or a pawn?
Are Emperors rulers or measures?
Was Humpty Dumpty destined
To never be stuck together?
There! With a simple question
One being becomes two:
The Good seen by I
And the Bad seen by you
In the flash of rhetoric
People can change
However ironic
And however strange.
