Looking for adventure hoping to shine

Traveling the world nowhere permanent to stay

Loving life and the people I meet

Just the clothes on my back and shoes on my feet

Knowing this won’t last forever wishing it could

How long can I ignore all the “but you should”

Should I change my love of life is it time I got a clue

Should I really act and behave as rigid as you

Work and then work some more you rarely live

You spend all you make with little to give

I rarely hear you laugh I have never seen you cry

You gave up your soul you have lost your wings to fly

Without wings our souls are stuck in a dreaded race

A race with no end no change in scenery or pace

Instead of me changing maybe you should join in my cause

I know the freedom scares you and gives you pause

Freedom from doing everything others say is right

Caring about something different with nothing to fight

Discovering the world each day finding a new toy

Living life, discovering all God created for us to feel and enjoy
