I’ve spent a thousand years
Stuck in this maelstrom,
Fighting back the black tears,
As the world goes wrong.
Waiting for a helping hand
To let me break free
From the salt- ridden sea sand
That traps me, in me.
Feeling nothing but trapped
Down here in this hole.
I’m deformed like a rat
That’s lost its cold soul.
Won’t someone hurry, come
Show me a way out.
Let me see the great sun
So I can run and shout.
