Locusts
Look in these eyes
An entire dimension is destroyed
And the lights fade out into darkness
It’s amazing what you feel
Numb and alive but not in contact at all
Locust

Burns holes in my perception in reality
Ingrained their presence within an ending
But where
Do they all come from?
Once they find a way under your skin?

The paints all mix and smother into the color black
But once they begin to fade
They start to contaminate into stains
As pupils dilate
Black holes swallow you words up into dust
Locust

Gnaw on my sleep
The nightmares are to frail to feel
Fell them
Crawl under your flesh and feed
And yet they still starve
Look up at the ceiling
Staring in the blankness of the darkness
As thoughts strip away
Naked inside
While smoothing out the wrinkles of time on a sheet of snow
Locust

Whereas to start
To the millennium
Where there is no beginning or and end
They fallow
Me in to the lake of shadows
Where I finally drown out and die

Look in these eyes
As pupils dilate
Black holes swallow my words up into dust
It’s amazing what I feel
Dead and alive all in unison….
