Lolita.
The quiet air rings in my ears,
ricocheting off bones,
echoing through my skull.
Frozen particles, atoms, cells
seep into my blood and stain it
with their grainy hushed tones.
Warning words course through my tired flesh.
Eyelashes, glued, veil the skin,
deep breaths beat against my eyes
causing them to dart back and forth.
I await the next onslaught of tear-inducing wind;
lips and teeth clamped tightly,
politely avoiding the grimace that plays on my cheeks.
I stare at you expressionless,
an untouched emptiness emanating from my fingertips
that quiver and shake at your touch.
My legs seize with paralysis as the
familiar grunts of hunger eat away at my muscles,
expectant and almost greeting
as you fill your body with mine.
Inane grin contorting your face,
sweating limbs tangling themselves with my
perfectly curled hair and strategically lipsticked mouth.
I close my eyes
lashes giving in to the glue,
choking on my inward screams
