A poem about overcoming a massive obstacle in order to achieve Love.
Lonely Mountain
Now that I know what I have to do,
I will climb this lonely mountain for you,
Each hand I place, I am that closer to you,
Each bead of sweat is sacrificial proof,
If I should fall, I will scream out loud,
I love you my sweet and of that I am proud,
My last thought of you before death’s shroud,
Crystal cube of thought crushed into the ground,
Yet I am determined to soar that precarious peak,
No vertigo or gradient will make my legs week,
And when I finally make it, to you I will speak,
Of our plans for the future, across the skies we will streak,
Gliding upon soft clouds, your hand in my hand,
We wake the next morning on a beach of white sand,
The toil we had dreamed up that is of no demand,
Our hearts being far larger than the lonely mountain in that land
