The Ultimate Pinoy Experience.

Away from home, I’m longing to have something on my plate,

that most of the Pinoys really love to eat.

I want to experience the aroma of “Tuyo”,

especially those made by a Manobo.

The salty yet appetizing taste of “Bagoong”,

loaded with tiny minced fresh tomatoes and onions.

Like olden days, I wanted to eat using my clean bare hands,

slowly mixing and pressing over the  white “sartin pinggans”.

The faces of my “amigos”, Jesus! Maria! Joseph!

like guards in the Luneta that lack some sleep.

Topless, with knee almost supporting ones chin,

there my “kabarkada” will feast the mouth watering recipe therein.

As we eat, periods of silence oftentimes sink in,

but as soon as we realize it, Mr. “Joker” will break-in.

The silence will then become a total comical script,

while the group starts teasing each other a bit.

Holy Camote !  Nasaan na ang kawayan?

Halina’t gamitin at sumsuma’y gawin!

For those foreigners na nagpumilit maka understand,

Just simply give the words to google and surely you’ll be in good hands.
