The roads are all long
But many have shortcuts
So in the Navy they have
A perpetual haircut

Take the long one or small one
‘Tis all the same,
As long as you and I and she
We all enjoy life’s game.

To cut it short
I shall come again
To read the parts of my life
Which still remain
