Its a poem, but its really a true story. Its a deeper meaning then what you read. I wish for the reader to see what I feel but not really coming out and telling them.

I ran to her, full speed and out of breath!
Really it was out of the excitement of seeing her…
My mama!

In my hand was a picture that I drew for her to see.
“MAMA! MAAAAAMMMMAAAAA!
I drew this picture for you!

No Response…

So I try and scream louder.
(Keep in mind that I am a little frustrated that my efforts didn’t work)

“Maaaaammmmmaaaa! I made this picture for you!

Her back is still turned to me and
She hasn’t even looked my way!

Here I stand holding the same picture from 23 years ago…

And she says she loves me!
