A poem in the view of mother earth.
Look around my children
Speak of what you see
A beautiful land in ruins
Your ways are killing me
I was once your mother
The one that you adored
But these days i am nothing
I’ve begun to be abhored
Everyone’s forgot my power,
My willingness to give
You’ve taken me for granted
I’m losing my will to live
Never forget, my love
I supply the air you breathe
I can take away your life
With a gentle ocean breeze
I control all that is living
The things you are cutting down
Oh my piteous humans
You are forever earth bound
And when the sky has disappeared
And my body has fallen apart
It will be you, my greedy children
That will never be allowed to depart
