A poem about humanity.
I reach out this night to touch a stone,
Lost to ages of time unknown.
Histories prophecies will soon be shown,
To the blind eyes of those who walked alone.
Face the truth that burns the sky,
From what I can tell, the time draws nigh.
The sands of the hour glass are getting shy,
So look into your children’s eyes.
Make them know how blessed we’ve been,
Our souls protected from our sin.
By his blood, the world turns again
Forgive us Lord, for the torment of men
We can’t change the course of time gone by,
Only, grasp the moment with passioned eyes.
Love thy neighbor, hold your lies
And God’s peace will have come alive
