I dedicate this to those who are tempted by lust to betray a lover’s trust when the lover has forgotten to look your way once more and show the love they have for you. This poem is about desire for love and when thing in life get in the way and you second guess if the love is still there and start to think about seeking it elsewhere. But my warning of this poem is this, secret trysts are not right. Speak to your lover and proclaim your feeling of neglect and desire…if dismissed it is up to you whether you will stay or go.

I lay naked in my bed, thoughts racing in my head.

All the words that have been said, and the ones still to be wed.

I feel ashamed for my own lust, for in me is your love and trust.

Desire taunts me reveal as I must, but love scorns me of your trust.

Slut be the name you call if they see skin, and then away my love drifts too thin.

Attention the desire from you is no sin, for you are my lover long since then.

Enter trysting thoughts of your neglect of late, my actions foretell of all the many fate.

For in our love I can find heaven’s gate, but in flesh shows a fiery fate.

If you’d show more attention to me, these desires would never be.

If you’d take the time to see, I want you now desperately.

In this other’s words of flatter, all fortune’s lost and scatter.

look my way once more to say I matter, or I fear their words will steal all that matter,

Many things are on your mind, I ask you not to be so blind.

To forget the love we share so kind, a vow you asked for us to bind.

I ask once more, find our love from afore.

Save me from sins door, and make love to me like we did before.

Don’t make me eat the forbidden fruit, in your neglect’s starving suit.

Let me feel the love’s true fruit, let’s give sinful desire the boot.

You have chosen a good topic for a ballad style poem.

Ballad, I wasn’t even aiming for that but eh….if it is a beautiful ballad that rocks! I just let it flow from me.
