Verse One:

 Lord, when I looked up at the sky,

 I saw you looking down at me,

A tear came to my eye,

Because I know I’m not perfect and I know I won’t ever be.

Verse Two:

I’ve made a lot of mistakes in my life,

Many times I thought I wouldn’t make it,

But you were always their to soothe the pain and strife,

You showed me I could take it.

Verse Three:

When my life was full of troubles and sorrow,

You were their to see me through,

You showed me there’s always a tomorrow,

You showed me a love that is true.

Verse Four:

As I continue on life’s rocky road,

I know You’ll always be there,

To help lighten the load,

And to let me know you care.

Verse Five:

Though I may not always agree,

I know whatever you decide,

Is what’s best for me,

By your love I will always abide,

 Because Lord I know you care.
