This poem is about a Pastor giving advice. It is written by me…E.B. Wilkes.

The Brother says to the Pastor…

“The ways that led this humble me,

to stumble frequently

seems to be all around me…

I try to walk around those ways

then they trip me up,

then I fall”

I get back up,

then fall…

I get back up,

then fall again;

Seems this is a cycle…

that has no end!

The Pastor, he gives his console…

He says; Brother you must be careful

as you stroll

Do not go the extra yard, but go

many miles,

then in a while

not just you

but we too

will see the difference in you!

Just remember do not get lost along the way;

Just lose the old you!!!

    An excellent poem! Encouraging words of wise counsel, with an essence of the granduer picture of life, mixed with caution.
    To lose your old self, is essential for discovering within, a renewed sense of self worth.
