Sometimes we don’t find out soon enough that it doesn’t matter what we were in the past, but that we have the power to decide who we can be.

When you don’t know where you’re goin’
Can’t remember where you’ve been
It’s hard to believe in someone
Really think they’ll let you in
Tellin’ yourself you’re crazy
Noone could love a fool like you
Not with all your problems
What’s a lonely heart supposed to do
All those years of searchin’
Proved to be in vain
One face after another
All turned out the same
Feelin’ old and tired
Youth lost long ago
No longer naive girl
You’ve gotta learn to take it …slow
When you’ve figured out where you’re goin’
It doesn’t matter where you’ve been
You’ve gotta believe in someone
It’s upto you to let them in….

Juanita.. “Youth lost long ago” No way! You are still in the first flush of youth and beauty.

    Loved the poem.
