No one nurtures friendships anymore.

Where are you?
Where did you go?
Why don’t you answer?
Have you forgotten me already?
I guess your words were just hollow lies
You meant more to me than I was to you
So foolish to hope for more…
At least you could have said goodbye
But you don’t have the guts to
You just keep me hanging
You destroyed this friendship
Or was there ever really a friendship?
I wished you would have told me upfront
So I wouldn’t have wasted my time
You could have given me that courtesy
But you are man so self-absorbed
Too caught up in your own drama
Why did you even befriend me?
Was I just a game to be played?
For your amusement?
I wished we had never met…
My heart was too foolish,
And too open
And ultimately too shallow
Why is friendship so hard to find?
Why is it so hard to keep?
No one stops to smell the flowers
No one tends to their gardens anymore
No one simply cares
