This is a tribute to my mother who died when I was just nine…
That selfless smile of sincere love and devotion
Those eyes with caressing gaze like silver moonlight
Those nurturing, embracing arms that hugged me close
Wiping away my tears like the sunrays kissing away dewdrops
-Tears of the silent weeping night fallen on rose petals
Her anger was like the tempest and the sun always shone
At last in the smiling benevolent face,
Wiping away the last traces of frowning thunder
For her nothing was too good for me
And she gave away anything for my smile
Feeding me like the embryo fed by the fertile soil
Always encouraging me with words of inspiration
She was my own guardian angel , my blessing
She was my beloved mother
But the claws of brutal death snatched her hand
Away from mine as I stood alone and deserted
Gazing with forlorn eyes at the distant stars
Hoping that they were angellic fenestella
Through which my mother always smiles at me
And she still guides me through that soft voice in my soul
My mother is now my conscience…
