True love is simple and pure.

The simple sound of your voice
The soft lilt of your song
Lifts me to a higher place
Stirs within a golden pond

As the wind blows gently,
Stirring nearby greenery
I know I’ve touched your spirit
It reflects in the brilliant scenery

The sky opens wider
Birds flock and gather round
Chatter and catch up
On all the latest they have found

Tall flower beds,
Grow higher than ever before
Reaching toward the heavens
Smiling and wanting more

Two hands interlace
The fit perfect and secure
Two footfalls match in cadence
A melodic pace, toward
Love and evermore

Another heartfelt piece!! I REALLY LOVE the last stanza!! I\’m going to be in a friend\’s wedding party in Feb. and I\’d like to use that verse in a toast at the reception, giving you full credit of course!!
