Ever the same?
And she stops
In the midst
It’s okay, it’s okay
It doesn’t matter,
It doesn’t matter,
Anymore
But, did it ever?
Would it ever again?
Why is there so much strain?
So much,
Unnecessary struggle?
With the tide, there needn’t be more
With that smile you’d think
The strife could never come
To my door
It isn’t me, it isn’t you
Maybe, it’s you and I together?
Maybe it’s the force of too much feeling
Too much internal fighting
Maybe it’s too much pain
Maybe you and I
Will never be the same?
My heart, my life
It’s not trivial
Don’t play games
I made a promise
Made a promise
To stay
Why suddenly
Are you pushing me away?
Killing, the tranquility in my day?
Why does life have to be so difficult?
My heart is crying, my heart is dying with every word
That you say
With every thought
Are you going to stay?
Hurt me, hurt me
Keep me, keep me
In your embrace
In the serenity of your space
Make me feel whole, once again
Make me know you’ll never leave my side
Make me understand
The struggle in your life
Help me heal the pain
The strife
I cannot read your mind
I cannot be anything
But me.
