This is a poem I have written for my fiancée before we ever started dating. I fell in love with him the first time I ever talked to him. Its been two years+ since I wrote this poem so this year, as I am writing this, it is that 3rd year mentioned in the poem. He’ll be leaving for basic training at July and will be gone after that.
I will miss him so very much~
This is probably the cheesiest poem I have ever written but it comes from the bottom of my heart.
It had only been a little
the time we are together.
But I felt like I knew him
more than forever.
He has such a kind heart
and care in his eyes.
I know him too well
to be telling me lies.
He would try anything
to see me at all.
Though he’s always busy
not even a call.
He’s a jock I know
and surprised so many.
That a man like him
would love someone like me.
Looks didn’t matter
he’ll always say.
As long as the heart
could be taken away.
He’d say he’s lucky
every time I’m with him.
But luck seems to fade
as though it was dim.
To me for sure
he’s not the one in luck
Rather I’m the one
who’s love is stuck.
He’s like a magnet
to many girls.
But he chose me
a split-ended piece
from the many curls.
Only this moment
for love so hardcore
Before three years
he’s sent off to war.
