This is the picturisation of love with nature’s images through verse.
Love is like the sublime smile of besotted sunflower
That gazes at its indifferent love in loving reverence
And wilts in painful dejection when the sun sets
Being swallowed by voracious sea waves
Love is like the fragrance of a scarlet rose
That it breathes out to endow on the world
That lingers even to its desiccated petals
Faded, wrinkled and withered away
As a faint scent that never disappears
Love is like the silver surf the coronets of waves
Titivating the boisterous waves with pearls in their womb
Love is like a rejuvenating shower of raindrops
That satiates the thirst of the earth’s parched throat
And makes flowers blossom, rainbows loom and seeds germinate
Like dreams and hopes on the twigs of thoughts
Love is like the wild flowers in a medley
Cheerfully blooming in oblivion with no yearning for recognition
They just spread colourful smiles sharing their bliss with all
Love is like a carnival of sparkling stars, tiny diamonds
They smile with candour and ecstasy so sublime
Slaying the darkness of dejection with their sublime gaze
Love is like a canopy of multitude of clouds sailing
On the horizon in resplendent colours aglow
As if all aspiration and desires have found colour
In the golden sunrise or the crimson threshold of dusk…
