A short poem by Christian A. Miles about a time she felt bullied by Cupid’s sharp arrow.
Love is like a stabbing knife.
Thrusting at my heart,
Pulling my ribs one by one.
Seperating every piece, part by part.
Love is like a tidal wave.’
Pulling everything it touches from the shore.
Washing away all debri left on the sand.
Its pulling me.. pulling me away now.
Love is like a life’s last breath.
It takes a slow gasp,
Pulls you deep into its lungs.
Keeps you there for a moment.
Teasing you..
Then releases you once again.
Love is a plenty.
Its found in cards.
Stores. Flowers. Candy. Television.
Movies. Music. Dreams.
Love is everywhere it seems.
So why are so many still searching?
Nothing is being found.
All real love is lost it seems.
