A poem I wrote, as I was inspired by my distant relationship.
I feel it twist around my heart,
a ribbon of sweet song.
Even as I wait for you,
the days are not that long.
It’s sweet and luring
like a treat.
We dance as one to
our own beat.
I feel warm and safe,
in it’s strong embrace.
I feel no fear -
not even a trace.
Love is strong,
we’ll make it through.
As long as
we both stay true.
