A poem about letting go.
I’ll find you a tall, dark stranger on a moonlit balcony.
Your eyes will meet with his and melt
And you will be loved forever.
He’ll see the rose i see and will share my need
to make you happy, beyond anything else.
He’ll be tall, dark, handsome and kind.
Clever, but with an honest mind.
He’ll treat you the way you should be treated.
He’ll treat you like a lady and just maybe
you will be happy forever.
He’ll be big and tall and strong.
Protect you and do no wrong.
He’ll worship the ground you walk on.
He’ll make you feel alive. You can leave the past behind
and start a life afresh.
He’ll be romantic and gentle and see
your vulnerability.
He’ll treasure you beyond anything else.
And so i do see, you do not belong with me.
You belong with him.
