An old timer once told me,
love her wrong, love her right
it don’t matter as long as it’s love
Cause love has no right or wrong
love is love, nothing else need be involved
it doesn’t need flowers or walks on the beach
those things help but won’t add to its mystic
love is quiet and will not boast
love is realizing when you’re too loud
quietly apologize and say it more gently
love is comprised by our failures
it gives us a chance to succeed by
saying I’m sorry
It’s not quick to anger
doesn’t deal in ultimatums even though we do
Love reveals our vulnerabilities
Its learning to argue without losing your mind
love takes maturity, plus the mindset of a child
Love is forgiveness, sacrificing one’s self
for the welfare of others
Sometimes love is not sacrificing anything at all
Sometimes love is taking care of self
so that you may receive the love
that others are trying to give
Love turns to hope when there’s
nothing left to give. It returns as faith
with the promises of tomorrow
Love sets people free without condemnation
Love is here and now & now and then
Love takes time. We often end it before
we ever gave it a chance to begin.
Its attractive at first then loses its luster
it takes work to shine
like grandma’s tarnished silver
Love is confusing when we use our feelings
Love is the life energy that flows between people
It shines in a smile and grows in a tear
Love is a shoulder where troubled souls call home
The wrongs in life is what makes love right
but in order to see it, you must first believe it
love is the foundation from which
all commandments begin
Love holds on when your grip slips away
love is reaching into the past without
settling old scores. Love done correctly
has a lopsided score
