A story of a woman who was seeking satisfaction through relationships until she met someone at the well.

There was a woman whose love went dry

to the path of love gave reasons why

Running to a well to fill her pail

from emptiness to lonliness

only a  lonely heart could tell.

The women that knew only whispered her name

and told her life that grew to fame

She’s a sinner with all the men in her life

Married or single

Never seeing the light

Her pail to love will never cease

Is there no end, will she ever be

In the eve the well is there to tell

A woman’s love for men to trail

To find love she says in her heart

She continues her path that always starts

Her life to be a new beginning

But the pail of pain is never ending

She meets a man with a cup in his hand

Asking for a drink

She looks at Him to understand.

“I see your pain and lonliness”, he said.

Let me fill your cup with me instead

The rivers run deep and the well’s never dry

I am comfort, I am love, the reason why.

The men you knew could never give

The life I am for you to live.

“Sir”, she said, “you can fill my pail”?

“And my pain to love will never trail”?

“Are you the one they said would come”

“I am”, said he, with eyes of love.

“Come and see what this man that gave to me”, she said.

“Is this the One, Is this the One”?

“I am”, says He, sins forgiven,

and set free.
