Love, to me,

is nothing more than a

selfless sublime emotion

devoid of any feeling

 of  gain or loss.

Pilgrims go to their holy lands

only to ”ask” for something

from their Lords.

That is not their love for their Lord.

In fact I think they  are distrusting

the Love of their Lords

by reminding Him

of what He has already Promised.
