When I sat beside you the other day…

Did you know what I was thinking?

Did you know exactly how I felt?

Or were you too nervous yourself…

That you’d feel your heart about to melt

Did you know that looking at you is harder than it may seem?

Or watching you smile at me,

And watching that smile gleam,

Brings my heart beat to an extreme

Did you know that I love your eyes?

Or how you always say something sweet?

And even that i love your shoe size?

Or how instead of telling me you love me, you act discrete?

Was it hard to make you fall for me?

Or was I so easy to love?

Because one thing I can guarantee,

Was that falling for you…

Was undoubtedly easy..

Have I ever told you how tempting your lips are?

Or how I wish I could hug you for everyone to see?

And even how this is so oddly bizarre,

Me liking you, and you liking me

Did you know..

That I could certainly “compare thee to a summer’s day”? [Reference to Sonnet 18 by William Shakespeare]

And did you know..

That being far from you makes me feel gray?

Had I ever told you I loved your hair

And your silliness?

And all those similarities we share…?

Have I ever told you I love your fingers,

How they tangle perfectly with mine?

Or how your voice always lingers

In my mind.. from time to time..

I now only have two.. no.. THREE words for you

You probably already know, or have a clue…

But I’ll tell you anyway..

These words are..

I Love You.
