Only a vague memory, slight recollection of who you are… yet I’ve seemed to have fallen in love with that distance between you and me.

The tender aching of secret yearn

Is the extent of pain I will to learn -

Leave me to be, as I’m shrouded in dark

And let my heart cry; lest a cry less heard.

So compelling a distant figure is he

So mysterious, unbeknownst he be

I’ve only dared peek with heart half closed

Wishing he’d stand in the dark with me…

But Hark! What beats this heart so

As his gaze reaches mine – lo!

Nothing but a grimace, a slight wrinkle in the way

Nothing more for the eye to behold.

Deserted night, alone I stand

With false hopes engaged in my hands

Lean by my side, and you will see

I’ve loved you in a different past-time, dissimilar dreamland….
