Lovely a poem by Jennifer Jo Fay. A poem about lovely things that move us. Love poems.
Lovely
How does the world shine
in the moment of loveliness?
We bask in the joy of a sunlit day
as light filters in to release the mood.
Lovely are the bones
that hold us together.
Take care of your soul
and emerse yourself in a warm bath
to soothe the senses.
Lovely is the moment
where we have another day
under the sun.
Lovely is being able to love
being with family.
Lovely is the nocturnalness
of the silent darkness of night.
Lovely is the kiss
that lingers on our lips.
Lovely is the ability to share
in our joys and passions.
Lovely is the chance
we get to create once again.
Lovely is the eternity
that we get to stay on earth.
Lovely is the love
that grows each day.
Lovely bones, lovely skin,
lovely scent
of a passionate embrace.
Lovely, lovely, lovely day
that seems to last forever.
Lovely you, lovely me,
and lovely thoughts that travel far.
Lovely is just that.
The feeling that makes something
truly wonderful.
