There are times when against our will to lose a possibility, we resist not losing it, and we gain nothing except a memory of loss…

We said ‘hello’ and smiled, then silently moved on

Our thoughts loud with clear skies, and how we were before
Palm trees in the breeze, mornings by the shore
Evening walks and dreams, and counting constellations
We could have turned and asked how in each other’s eyes
These images had lost the substance to live on
We stifled the desire, afraid we might again
Shiver with regret if we’d know love again
So each to each we painted pictures of our world
Living in Facebook, chats, late honks of horns, and cars
Sometimes glued to i-pods, then generate new music
Though we sure killed ourown hymn, before it found the dance
Soaked in such admixture, what’s there left to see
What love is there to guide us, whose heart it’s going to be
The city wakes to traffic with news of ruined reasons
And more reports of profits, politics, crimes of passion
Of rivers dead with garbage and trash of broken dreams
Of lives born, grown, and withered before they could begin
No, nothing there about us, something to call our own
We gave up ere we made it, so soon, Dear Heart, so soon…
