Oh, the madness seen in power, and the travesty of it all!

MAD HATTER

Resplendent goof in arab costume

Waving his golfing scepter,

He sits at head as rear of state,

Giving decrees while losing luster,

Dines at the table of desires and lies,

Proclaiming doom with his bluster,

The queen of heart-attacks moos next to him,

Whispering, ‘Destroy some more… only faster!’

The Harry Cheshire cries and screams,

Driving all to its inflicted muster,

A wild jester who lost her head,

Is ranting insane in the dark duster,

While party they threw has thrown its wheels,

For the tea party did bust her,

The hatter so mad he sees naught,

But using poisons instead of fluster,

Into the maelstrom of wicked leaves,

They all take their leave of sanity’s cluster,

And Alice the Patriot smiles and shakes her head,

‘We’ll win this fight you monster!’

VERY nicely done! It conveys the madness of those “governing” us, but would be a good read even if I didn’t know who and what you were talking about. Kudos and bravo!
