I was truly bless with my Mother. She was by far the nicest person I ever knew. Her children meant the world to her and they always came first. My girlfriends always said they wished my mother was theirs.
Her name was Madeleine
She loved a man called Charlie.
and though his antics caused her pain
With her darlin Charlie she remained
That is until he died.
Her name was Madeleine
She wed a man named Frank
She thought they ’d have a happy home
But it seems our Frankie Drank.
Her name was Madeleine
And though her time is past.
Her legacy of love lives on,
Through me and mine and theirs
Madeleine was my wonderful Mother
A mom with a heart of gold
Full of love and encouragement
A truly benevolent soul
As for the men in her life
And this includes her sons
They didn’t appreciate or reciprocate
All the loving things for them, that she’s done.
Yes her name was Madeleine
And I’m grateful she was my Mom
