I think we all do these, often.

If we all did what we could do
for our fellow man
We could hold the door or say “hi”
whenever we can.
A pleasant wave, a little conversation,
just a word or 2
Might make the difference
for both me and you.
When I saw some happiness and
gave half of it away
You’d experience some blue skies
that once were gray.
We never know what might be in someone
else’s life
Maybe an argument was between
the husband and wife.
We can’t fix all the ills of the
entire earth
Nor can we undo happenings from
anyone’s birth
Possibilities might be endless
when judgment day is here.
Knowing that we actually
brought someone cheer.

So positive. If we could do just one good deed a day without expecting anything in return the world might just be a better place.

It takes but one small action at a time. Excellent message provided here through a smooth write. Michael

Wonderful! I am the type of person who always holds a door open for someone and always leave them with a laugh, such as at the grocery store or wherever I may be. Great!

I like this poem. they are things i use to do and still do to some extent. i am too often disappointed w/ society anymore though. the reality is it should be done, to be considerate. thanks

I agree with Tom on this one. We can’t let our dissapointment with society affect the individuals.

It is hard to get a frown from someone when you smile at them. Nicely done!
    Take care

I was somewhat inspired! a smile can make wonders, and a simple sincere helping hand can make a big difference in someone else’s life. You’ll never know…and as long as people are rational and have the heart of a human, they’ll learn to appreciate and be thankful all the time. There’s still some good in this world worth fighting for… :D

A beautiful poem, how great it would be if we could always live that way.
