Sometimes you have to make the best

Of the bad luck thrown your way

Get on with your life, to heck with the rest

And just enjoy your day

I was having me a terrible day

Everyone grumbling at work

No one had anything nice to say

And my boss was being quite a jerk

I went to my office and told myself

I wouldn’t let it get to me

I grabbed a book off the shelf

And went to work, plain as can be

I smiled at everyone that was around

And went out of my way to be nice

It was strange for me to be so profound

Giving everyone advise

I figured that was the best way

For me to get back at them

By wishing them a happy day

And not being hasty to condemn

I have never been more happy

I’ve sure got it made

Cause you know when life gave me
