That my life was going to hell

But you warn me to be free

Your thoughts about me I agree

But where I go I know not where

My life has been dogged with despair

For as I try to make things right again

I wonder if there’s anything to gain

You slapped me down in my place

I could see the marks on my face

But you must agree it was a disgrace

That lacked the semblance of grace
