A Poem depicting the awareness of oneself – Spiritually Received.
Running always on the run
Man has run since time began
Not admitting he is scared
Dare not say a single word
Can’t admit his true ordeal
Just in case he won’t appeal
Won’t admit the obvious flaws
It might re-open dreadful sores
But man still runs and tries to hide
From his feelings deep inside
Must not tell dare not admit
Better try to hide from it
Should the truth be really known
Years of cover would be blown
So how can man now swallow pride
From his feelings deep inside?
Is it fear of being branded
A liar Cheat or underhanded?
It doesn’t take much time to see
That man is fighting to be free
Won’t admit he can be wrong
Just like others for as long
Does he fear a poorer image
or would his ego be so damaged?
Living falsely in a dream
Blind to see that truth is seen
Must not admit he’s not perfect
In case his friends might him reject
Better off by saying “nowt”
Covers up with loads of shout
Bragging, drinking or taking dope
As a cover in that hope
Wonder if folk will catch on
And work out really how far gone
Man is near that bottom step
And there he’ll stay and will be kept
Can’t he see not to admit
Does not help one tiny bit?
Running running is bad for health
Better if man knows himself……..
