Graft and corruption is prevalent especially among developing countries like the Philippines. It’s a social cancer.

Nagkasugat, nagnaknak, lumala
Hanggang sa lumalim ang sugat
Pinahid-pahiran at tinapal-tapalan

Mang Juan’s Disease

It all started with a simple keloid
It was cut, got infected, got worst
Then the cut got deeper and deeper
Traditional herbal leaves and roots
Were used in healing the wound
But the bleeding couldn’t stop anymore
His wounds can no longer be cured
Base on his first and last medical diagnosis
Last stage of cancer was made certain
His wounds could have been cured
If proper medical attention
And right medicine was given
Mang Juan and my country’s disease’s the same
It could have been healed and didn’t got worst
If only brought to and handled by the right person.

So many strides are always happening in medicine. Many more need to be coming for better as longer life. Sad and upsetting contents here, my friend.
