A philosophical poem based on mans lust for power.

Mans addiction is self infliction of hatred in human hearts
They wage their wars to settle scores that only tear us apart
A righteous crusade, or cruel charade, another political lie
I can’t take any more, of hypocrite’s law, that’s why I say goodbye
I will leave this place, and I will embrace the ways of the wild
From civilisation I hide, with the stars as my guide, Mother Nature’s child
In this place I’ve found, with no laws to bound, my souls appeased
Using God’s perception, not mortal deception, corruption is deceased
With my new outlook, I see man don’t give a fuck, dominated by greed
For man with no morals, violence solve quarrels, the devil’s lust they feed
But power corrupts us all; soon they will fall, and wither in the mire
And as they pray, for help this day, I will watch the flames rise higher
Was it worth the trouble? Handed the shovel to dig your own hole
Punishment for doing wrong, all is gone, another burden for your soul
Do whatever it takes, to learn from past mistakes, or history will repeat
You must be strong, struggle and carry on; we all have demons to defeat
Men claim to be free, but are they really? I call them liars
Observe how they behave, mere slaves, victims of their desires
And man will obey, to God’s dismay, the innocent will bleed
It’s the nature of mankind, to go forth blind, imposing one’s creed
Outcast they made me, but this id rather be, than a pawn in their game
Played only by fools, who know not the rules, the loser shall be slain
And tears I shall cry, for now I know why, human faith departs
For mans addiction is self infliction of hatred in human hearts
