A little from the top of my head before I go to work.

March is here

following February,

the shortest month of the year.

In February the writer within

was disciplined.

Not many days,

limited time,

select categories to write for.

Now my writing soul can rise

and express itself

the way it wants.

No need to be disciplined

writing articles to earn

the appreciated bonus.

This month, March,

I can write whatever

enters my heart.

Doesn’t that feel better, Val? I hate all the pressure.

Feels better here too… this defined category stuff is nonsense lol. Loved the poem.

    You expressed the feeling exactly.

    Quality over quantity.

    You’re right.

i agree with you Val. Though I have made it for Feb (written 22 eligible posts which is the max so far for me), but somehow find I did not enjoy myself as much as before, as it was the shortest and yet the busier month for me but i challenged myself. My 30% extra is about 2 cups of coffee price (or lesser), but I have taken many many cups just to perk myself up to write something, too crazy for me.
WIF March 2011, I will be back to my normal self, to be as free as a bird and write whenever I feel like writing.
I only feel bad when I’m slow in my comments to my supporters.
Thanks Val, I enjoy reading this post. :)

Back to poetry and (for me) faith writing, and no worries about an article about purses ending up on Quazan and forgetting that WritingHood is not a qualifying site. Cheers!

Hopefully back to memoir writing for me.

Good job with the poem. Here in March the last leaves fall as the trees bud. It is a mess until the end of the month. Then April and time to clean the yard for spring. But for you March is your fall, is it not?

Sweet stuff, I am seeing more and more poetry streaming in.

Nice piece of writing (not sure whether I should consider it poem or something else). Anyway, I thought you were writing what your heart desires during February too :)
