Some people need to just stop pretending; admit they are weak, lazy and irresponsible. Stop the pretense of being strong, caring and decisive leaders, be it on the job or in the homes.

Feigned loyalty

Counterfeit authority

Fabricated honesty

Masquerading as the man

You’d like to be

Until faced with a challenge

The simplest decision

You crumble under the weight

Of responsibility

Revealing the boy you are

Imagined grandeur

A veil of concern

The constant posturing

Of some devised position

Putting on the disguise of

A dedicated leader

Yet unwilling to venture

To places you are

Unhesitant to send others

How long will this sham continue?

I think there are a lot of people being described in your poem. I suppose they want to cover up their inadequacies. A well expressed poem.
