Self-explanatory poem about someone that was once in my day to day life.

Excuses.
Rejection at every turn.
Each word containing well hidden contempt
Master manipulator, you get to seem the good guy once again.
But behind your escapist ways lies a true enemy.
No one need ask you for any favor, because you’ll resist.
Sometimes for a minute, sometimes longer.
Never yes, always a form of no.
Helplessness grasping any semblance of control.
Always guarded but longing for more.
Constantly pushing away.
I reject confrontation with you.
So unpleasant that most interaction is avoided.
Be gone.
Be alone.
Sometimes I fucking hate you.

I am, but I wrote this a little while ago. Just thought I’d pop the cork on it. :)

Hate is reserved for those we care enough about to despise! I’m sorry you are burdened with this attachment. I hope you are able to break free or at least come to better terms.

That person done you a favour, they got you to do this brilliant poem.

Don’t sugar coat it. :-) This is a great expression of feeling — it feels wide open and honest (and it’s well written). Nicely done.

Wow. It’s like you’re really angry. Specially about the part where you said a bad word.

Wow, no holding back at the end there! Good stuff, every sentiment successfully conveyed

Gah! Maybe I dropped in at the wrong time to sample your work? It was like opening a door and seeing a shoe flying at me. But that’s a good thing, since it’s anger and frustration that you’ve expressed here; and you’ve done it well. I especially like the contrast between the distaste for confrontation, and the last line where it’s unleashed.

I feel the same about Satan, the current “god” of this wicked “system of things”.

  • CutestPrincess on Jul 12, 2009

    hmm…calm down, buddy!

Sounds like a total one way relationship. I am glad this person used to be in your life and no longer is. Well done again.
